"Celebrating Chick Corea"
The quartet will play a selection of compositions by legendary pianist Chick Corea who came to prominence in the late 60s with Miles Davis and who left a legacy of more than seventy albums as leader and composer. From the popular Latin influenced classics such as Spain and Armando's Rhumba to the lesser known Morning Sprite, the introspective Futures or the modal jazz of Humpty Dumpty or dr Joe. The varied set combines swing and hard bop influences, intense latin rhythms and introspective and mellifluous ballads.
